Booking a DJ: Questions for the event DJ
My answers about music selection, DJ bookings and services
Absolutely! Before you book me as your DJ, we will discuss the music selection if desired. We clarify in advance what the structure of your employees and guests looks like and which music you prefer or would not be so suitable. Nevertheless, it is important not to specify too much in advance; a certain freedom of action in the musical design is essential for me as an event DJ to respond flexibly to the developing mood during an event. With more than 1,000 events - private and business clients - that I have played on the turntables, I have gained valuable experience. My strength is to observe a company sensitively and to derive the musical design individually with regard to the success of the evening.
Absolutely. Especially at private events such as weddings as well as company parties and events, this is my daily, or rather evening, task as an event DJ. Uniting generations musically and giving everyone a great party evening is a challenge, art and my passion all in one. Nobody should leave the event and not have been musically happy - that is my aim. However, it is important to me that if après-ski and Ballermann music and pop songs are in great demand, I am not the right DJ for your event; you should book another DJ. Because I only like to play these music genres in small doses.
No, I leave that to my fellow presenters, who can do it perfectly. As lovely as the idea of an all-rounder may be, a DJ, who can also present or play the saxophone, is usually not good at everything he offers. My core competence is my knowledge of music paired with DJ mixing and good observation skills on location. Of course, I always have a radio microphone to transmit the managing director's speech without problems. If you require more extensive miking, please get in touch with me when you book me as your DJ, as I work with good technical partners who can provide support.
I dress appropriately for the occasion. This includes everything from a shirt with loose chinos and smart sneakers to a tailored suit with a shirt and bow tie. However, I don't wear tails and shiny patent leather shoes. That wouldn't be 100% me and it's essential that I feel comfortable in my clothes at work.
That varies greatly. Some Saturdays are already booked with me two years in advance, whereas Fridays are sometimes still available six weeks in advance. As soon as the date for your event is fixed, you should ask about booking a DJ to be on the safe side.
If you would like to book me as your DJ, the date has been clarified and I know exactly how much time I will be required and to what extent technology is needed. The next step is to create an individual offer. After your confirmation, I will send you the order confirmation. I will invoice you after the event with a 30-day payment term. You can read more about the process on the Working Methods page.
I am very well connected in the professional DJ scene and in the event of illness - which would be an absolute exception - I can recommend an excellent, experienced DJ who is also available. You will not be left without a DJ!
